This document is intended to help you understand basic Archibus database schema to help with report building. The are tables and fields most used in a space/occupancy Archibus deployment.

Workspace Transactions

This table holds space occupancy over time. It is where your hoteling records are and if you turn on workspace transactions it will have your space allocation history.

Moves Orders

Individual move records on who/what was moved, status, and dates.

Move Projects

(SpaceView Only) SpaceView move orders are grouped into move projects. This is where you would find their status and contacts.

Background Data

Fields are linked to main tables through their primary key field(s). They all have a name or description field that is the friendly name that you may wish to bring into the report by adding the table as a standard (referenced) table. You can only do this when their primary key is in the main table of your report.

Room Categories

Room categories are the top level of the room classification hierarchy. This table determines how space is treated in area calculations.

Rmtype

Room Types

Room types are the second level of room classification, providing more detail on how the room is used.

Rmstd

Room Standards

Room standards are the architectural standards of the room and are independent from categories and types. Not all companies track room standards in Archibus.

Geo_region

Geographic Business Regions

The top level of the space hierarchy is the geo-region or the theater. This is usually APAC, AMERICAS, and EMEA.

Countries

Second level in the geographical space hierarchy – countries.

Regn

Regions

Third level in the geographical space hierarchy – regions within countries.

State

States

Fourth level in the geographical space hierarchy – states within regions.

City

Cities

Fifth level in the geographical space hierarchy – cities within states.

Site

Sites

6th level in the geographical space hierarchy and the top level of the location space hierarchy, sites are groups of buildings within cities.

Employee Standards

Employee standards define the types of employees in your organization, usually full-time, part-time, contractor, etc.

Seated Employee?

(SpaceView Only) SpaceView moves allow you to assign a seat status for employees

Dv

Divisions

Divisions are parents to departments in the organizational hierarchy. They can also optionally be grouped into business units (bu).

Departments

Departments within the organization.
